"Island Boy" Rob Mehl Releases New CD!
With the help of such storied San Diego artists as Eve Selis & Mark Intravaia, Jaime Valle, Tripp Sprague, Allan Phillips, Dennis Caplinger, Mattie Mills, and John Rekevics, San Diego-based musician/surfer Rob Mehl has just released a new cd of alternative island-style music called,"JUST GIVE ME THE KEYS"!
The CD boasts of thirteen cuts that range in style from island jazz to folk-alternative to southern rock, and was produced by Allan Phillips.
Since his music career began in 1972, Rob's been a soft voice, a quiet guitar, palapa tales from beaches all over the world, and eyes as blue as the tropic seas he's sailed that sparkle when he tells the stories.
An outstanding singer/song writer with deep island roots, his music displays a lifetime love affair with the sea and pays tribute to all the artists who have inspired him over the years.
"Locals" from Waikiki to Key West have enjoyed his music, and we hope you'll enjoy these songs as well ... and even imagine sharing in the adventure yourself.
