SkyDancer was voted as one of the 25 Essential Echoes CD's by the listeners of ECHOES on Public Radio International.

Guitarist, Composer, Vocalist, and Performer, Tim Farrell has touched and enriched the lives of many people. Tim performs concerts and does workshops around the country. He has received extensive airplay on individual radio stations, as well as on nationally-syndicated programs ECHOES, ACOUSTIC DIGEST, and THE WORLD CAFE in the USA and ALPHABEAT in Europe.

Tim's album "SkyDancer" has received airplay, accolades and sales around the globe. Billboard said " SkyDancer' resonates with soaring, memorable melody lines" and called Tim "a guitarist to be heard".

Tim's first solo album "Very" is such a beautiful example of intricate fingerstyle guitar playing that Tim was selected to be the first artist on "Guitar Fingerstyle - A NARADA Collection", a collection of the finest fingerstyle guitarists working today. Tim is also a featured artist on "The Best of Independent American Music", "EnviroAid" and "2000 Fingerpicking".

Tim has been called "One of the new trailblazers - the bold ones who will take guitar into the next century". He is one of the select group of musicians who exemplify all that is excellent in their field and who have the unique ability to entertain their audience and inspire future generations of players.

A classical guitar major with a minor in piano, Tim understands well the intricate mechanics of music, yet his playing and original compositions display an elegant simplicity that celebrates the purity of the acoustic guitar.

A very active composer, Tim has written many works for the guitar as a solo instrument and with other instruments. He has provided the music for Multimedia Presentations, TV and radio shows , Soundtracks, and Interactive Theater productions.
