Description
John Shultz(singer/songwriter/guitar)started his music in Akron Oh. as a member of the folk group "Greenbriar Four" doing live TV and radio and college shows. They played the Blind Owl in Kent along with The Missing Otis Trio, Josh White, Tom Paxton and others. Next came a seven year stint with a club dance band "Counterpoints". Starting in Kent Ohio playing the Kove,JB's,The Fifth Quarter and then playing 50 weeks a year as the house band at the infamous Draught House in the Portage Lakes area. While at the Draught House they opened for Sam the Sham, the Foundations,Badfinger,Bob Seger,The Troggs,The McCoys and many others. During this period he came to love the Memphis-New Orleans feel & mood. After this he started the 3 piece band "DAKOTA" in which he opened for J'Giels, Susie Quatro, Dr.Hook, and Fairport Convention. He also started the "Abel Baker Band", "Restless",and "Ridgewood" with Ken Meyers recording in Nashville with producer Eddie Kilroy.
Today he's writer/guitarist/vocalist for "Voice in the Wilderness" bringing a most unpopular message in our post modern world-- we'll all be judged by GOD when he access's the books (files) between our ears. The fool says there is no GOD.
