Description
Alta Vista Sky was recorded at Bubblehaus Studios in Chicago with engineers Matt Crowley, Earl Talbot and Andrew Twiss.
The songs feature Robbie Fulks on guitar, Katie Todd on piano, Stephanie Fletcher on violin, Eric Remschneider on cello and Mick Scott on mandolin.
Donna has performed on many stages in the Chicagoland area, including the Uncommon Ground, Schuba's, Lucille's and The Chicago Music Mart. She has shared the stage with Cheryl Wheeler, Robbie Fulks, Tom Dundee and others. Recordings include one song on the Uncommon Ground Coffeehouse compilation "Live at the Uncommon Ground," "All the Riches of the World," released in l997 and "Alta Vista Sky" released in 2002. In l990, Donna spent time as a guitarist and backup singer for local rock band The Art Thieves, and drummer "Dr. Brad" helped her produce her first CD. Some theater projects include writing songs for Green Light Performing Company and designing the soundtrack for Paula Kamen's play "Seven Dates With Seven Writers." One of her songs "Invisible Light" was performed by Green Light at the Adler Planetarium (no relation). Her songs have been featured on WFMT's nationally syndicated radio program "The Midnight Special" hosted by Rich Warren. Donna was also the voice of the Little Lotto radio jingle in l997.
