Description
Matt Butler is a performer, producer and composer who creates engaging, dancable and groovy music.
He is currently performing solo and with The Matt Butler Band, promoting Good Options, his sophomore release.
Matt's organic grooves on Native American drums, didjeridoo and trapset complemented by an assortment of eclectic instruments and vocals create fresh, accessible songs.
For eight years, Matt was the drummer for West Coast jam band, Jambay.
With over 1,300 performances to their credit, Jambay frequented music festivals such as HORDE, Laguna Seca Daze, Hogfarm Pignic and Bumbershoot.
Jambay is currently enjoying reunion performances at theatres in the Bay Area.
Matt also works as a producer and drummer and has recorded with such producers as David Gleeson (Third Eye Blind), Booker T. Jones, and Barrett Jones (Foo Fighters, Bush).
When he's not on the road or in the studio, Matt lends his talents to the local school music program and leads drum circles and workshops.
