Description
As a singer-songwriter Craig Carothers has played nightclubs and concerts from Los Angeles to Stockholm for the last 20 years.
Craig has performed as the opening act or shared the stage with more than 100 national acts including: Mose Allison, Karla Bonnoff, Jonatha Brooke, Bruce Cockburn, Paula Cole, Ry Cooder, Catie Curtis, Crash Test Dummies, Donovan, Robben Ford, Peter Himmelman, John Hiatt, John Klemmer, Leo Kottke, Patty Larkin, Little Feat, Little River Band, Michael McDonald, Danny O'Keefe, Boz Skaggs, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Richard Thompson, Tim Weisberg and Warren Zevon.
Accomplishments:
Signed a publishing contract in the fall of 1995 with Nashville-based Crossfire Entertainment/Almo Irving Music.
Winner in the 1995 Napa Valley Music Festival's Emerging Songwriter Showcase.
Winner of "Best Contemporary Folk Song" in 1995 Austin Songwriters Contest.
Winner of the Portland Music Association's Crystal Award for both "Best Folk Act" and "Best Single."
Newest CD "Air Mail Blue" (released November '96) is being played on Portland's KINK-FM, San Francisco's KFOG-FM and Seattle's KMTT-FM.
Continues to receive regular airplay for previous releases "Home Remedy" and "Craig Carothers Trio Featuring Gary Ogan and Tim Ellis."

Produced albums for numerous independent artists, including most recently Bay area hit songwriter Steve Seskin.
Co-wrote, engineered and produced the original score for feature film "Redline" starring Michael Madsen and Jan-Michael Vincent.

Speaking voice for Random House talking "Books On Tape."
Music computer consultant for Atlantic Records' "Nu Shooz" and Epic Records' "Quarterflash."
Singing voice for Waltham Pet Foods national radio and TV spots.
Sang the theme song for "The Adventures of Mark Twain," a full-length Claymation film by Academy Award winning director Will Vinton.
Performed as the singing and speaking voice for one of the main puppet characters in the latest of the nationally popular children's "Wee Sing" video series, "Wee Sing Under The Sea."
Wrote and produced music for radio and TV for Nike and Nordic-Flex.
Composed and produced score for award-winning, nationally distributed documentary film titled "Living With Cancer."
Gave performance/workshops about computers and music to more than 35,000 students in Oregon and SW Washington sponsored by "Young Audiences of Oregon."
