Description
Born in Ohio, Chris Belden grew up listening to records bought by his parents & 5 older siblings, everything from the Beatles & the Monkees to Allan Sherman & the soundtrack to "The Magnificent Seven." For a long time he played the drums, including a stint in Joe Henry's band (that's him playing on Joe's debut album, "Talk of Heaven"), plus years playing in bars around Detroit & NYC. Years went by.
Chris wrote a novel ("Squirt"--find it at amazon.com!), a screenplay ("Amnesia", starring Ally Sheedy), & a slew of plays. Now he's recorded "Songs About Anything," 14 pop tunes refined in performance at various NYC venues, & featuring such groovy players as pianist John Hegner, drummer Aaron Comess (of the Spin Doctors!) & bassist Paul Aston. "This is a song about anything/I could be wrong, but there are no right answers. . ."
