Description
"To Another Shore" is a lush recording of Latin, jazz and original songs. Coral's beautiful rich voice combined with Stephen O'Connors guitar work are a strong combination. The bass work by Kevin Hennessy and Rob Thorsen and the drum work by Duncan Moore add richness to the project. The music was arranged by Stephen O'Connor as well. The CD was "Enhanced" by Morning Session so you can see videos of Coral and Steve performing live by the oceans' shore, read the original lyrics and a bio.
Coral and Steve are about to complete two more recording projects and will be released before the end of 2002. One of them is all in Spanish with the acoustic instrumentation of cello, guitar, flute, sax and voice and it blends classical, jazz and Latin sounds. The CD is titled, Abrinedo Puertas (opening doors)and it features Coral, Stephen, Mary Szanto from the San Diego Symphony on cello, and winds virtuoso John Reckevics. The second CD, Live at L'Escale is a live jazz recording in Coronado, California, with Coral, Stephen, master Latin drummer Carlos Vasquez and bass player extraordinaire Bill Andrews.
Coral's Christmas album with pianist Randy Porter will also be re-released this year. The CD is a recording of traditional Christmas sung in both Spanish and English.
