Description
From the many musical streams that the blues have touched, these currents pour into the ocean of musical joy as we experience our loves, our losses, life in the face of death. This collection ranges through acoustic and electric blueses, touching gospel, jazz, blues-rock, swing blues, and more.
Brook has worked with the famous, the not-so-famous, the never-will-be-famous, in as many settings as there are streams of American music. Big band to trio jazz, bluegrass to pop. Where ever he goes, he's always got his heart in the blues.
An alumnus of Bo Diddley's BoKay production company, and Chuck Berry's pick-up bands, among others, Brook is just as comfortable in front of a cafe audience with an acoustic guitar as he is wailing for thousands. For the complete story, check out his web site.
From the Valencia Times: "Brook is the one who impressed me the most. Besides his good jazz and blues sense on bass and guitar, Brook is a fine writer."
