Description
The latest from Dave Crow and the boys is a "clinic" in Power Pop 101! Killer guitars, tons 'o hooks, excellent harmonies and mucho
energy dominate! They just keep getting better with each release! Includes a terrific cover of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds"! -- Ray Gianchetti/Kool Kat Musik
2003 release from one of the finer indie power pop bands on the scene and perpetual Not Lame fave! From the ashes of the great Knack inspired band, The Flaunt(if you've not heard this release, check it out on the site here...), Cherry Blossom Clinic unleashes their third album. Fans of The Lolas, Weezer, Fountains Of Wayne, Nada Surf and Cooler this is one to key up on, for sure. As we have said before, CBC are more like the buzzy anthemic feel of early Cheap Trick combined with the new wavey buzz of Fountains of Wayne playing Weezer tunes turned up to '11' and they successfully mix the top-40 rock sound with classic riffs, and their vocals so perfectly work with the rocking pop here. Their strongest release yet, very much Extremely Highly Recommended. -- Bruce Brodeen / Not Lame Records
