Description
"Christopher Dale is infectious and virtuoso. He rocks, he croons, he blows bubbles, he opens a vein and lets it bleed. Buy this CD!" -Mike Sager, Writer-at-Large, Esquire
With the uncanny knack for mixing elements as diverse
as rock, folk, soul, Americana and blues into a memorable
pop presentation - and a fiery presence that lights up the
live stage - Christopher Dale has released "Pick Me Up" on Idynomite Records. A powerfully hypnotic vocalist with a penchant for irresistible hooks and melodies, C. Dale intoxicates listeners with his honesty, heart and sheer energy.
Influenced by singer/songwriters such as Tom Petty, Ben Harper and Ryan Adams - Dale, the artist formerly known as Scorch, writes catchy songs, then delivers them in what Slamm Magazine calls," ...one of music's most beautiful voices." It's no wonder why he's been nominated for three San Diego Music Awards, "Best Pop Album" (2001), "Best Acoustic" (2002) and most recently, "Best Pop Album" (2004) for Pick Me Up.
His song "OK" was featured on ESPN's coverage of the Rock & Roll Marathon. He sang the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium for their "4th of July Fireworks Show".
He makes countless public school appearances, and continues to be involved in fundraising for homeless youths when he's not on the road.
When Christopher Dale makes a fan, he makes a FAN!
One female fan on vacation from Ohio went as far as riding a unicycle a mile and a half, in rush hour traffic, to the
station of San Diego's #1 morning radio show just so they would play her favorite singer/songwriter on the air. They did and the listeners responded, "Smash!" Watch for the "Unicycle Radio Promotional Tour" coming to a city near you!
