Description
Dan Tyler is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville. His songs have been recorded by, among others; Eddy Arnold, Bobby Blue Bland, The Cox Family, Jackie DeShannon, Kenny Rogers, LeAnn Rimes, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Oak Ridge Boys, Joni Harms, Juice Newton, Paul Overstreet, SKO, Dr. Hook, Agnetha Faltskog (ABBA), Billy Ray Reynolds, Eddie Rabbitt, Steve Alaimo, Marie Osmond, Razzy Bailey, Mark Gray, Atlanta, and Fred Knobloch.
After 20 years as a successful songwriter, Dan is releasing "I Hope", his debut cd as a singer. Dan wrote all 11 songs on the cd, which was produced by Joe Pisapia, himself a talented singer-songwriter currently touring with Guster (2003).
In choosing songs from a lifetime of work, Dan and Joe were guided by their desire to communicate on a deep level with the listener. "I Hope" is a mature work from a writer who has lived long enough to appreciate the paradox of life, the joy and pain of existence. Despite the serious nature of the cd, the songs are remarkable for their musicality and "humability".
