Trajectories
Diatonis
Trajectories is a lush ambient album. There is a deep sense of being that is felt throughout the entire album. It has an uplifting spirit that is more of artistic expression than it is an "Ambient" album.

Creating this album, I tried not to edit for that "perfect" sound that is inherent to electronic music. Because the instruments themselves have a mechanical perfection it is challenging to get a sound that's not stale and emotionless, using them. Sometimes the most interesting things come from mistakes, or the more chaotic realm of raw creativity. My approach allows for random elements to be introduced into the song, which add a certain complexity and variety. This organic quality is what gives nature it's beauty. I find this the most exciting and enjoyable place from which to create.
I hope that the recording conveys more than I intended.
"Trajectories" was going to be the 4th CD on the "Ambient Life" album but I decided it sounded too different. This is partly because of I was using better recording equipment, but mainly because my creative and artistic concepts had changed. I've realized that trying to control every aspect of the sound caused it to become very stale and emotionally isolated. The main thing I'm trying to do with my music is to create something that I find interesting and emotionally connected with. I do hope that people can relate to the music in there own personal way.
The way I create music is to not try and edit the "Bad" things out. Sometimes the most interesting things come from these mistakes. This approach allows for random elements to be introduced into the song of which would have normally gone unnoticed. They also add a certain amount of complexity and variety that I would have never come up with by editing the bad things out. I have quite a number of songs/soundscapes that are sonic ideas that I go back to to see if there is anything new sensed after listening to it.
Sometimes weeks may go by before I listen to it again. The main musical ideas are still there in there raw form. The most difficult thing to do is to know when to stop editing the raw sound and ideas.
If you listen to "One To Be" and get the meaning of the title please email me.
