Description
Elliott Caine, arranger, composer and trumpet player, is a Los Angeles musician who has performed with Teddy Edwards, Larance Marable, Al McKibbon, Ernie Andrews, The Machito Orchestra, Bobby Matos, Jump With Joey, Wycliff Jean, Beck, and numerous other notables. Elliott has toured the US, Europe and Japan, and has performed on live television and radio throughout the world. Additionally, he has received a Platinum Record for his work with the rock group, Filter.
Le Supercool, the 2nd release of all-original music by the Elliott Caine Sextet, has received impressive notice nationally and internationally, attaining the rank of #14 for radio airplay throughout the USA, for the first week of February, 2001 (Gavin Jazz List). Additionally, music from Le Supercool has been used as interlude music for radio station WBAI in New York City; as well as a composition being chosen for the CD compilation, "Jazz You Must Own, Vol.2", along with selections featuring Dexter Gordon, Mel Torme, et al., released by Avenue Jazz/Borders Books; another original song was selected for inclusion in mp3's, "Jazz Essentials" compilation.
