Description
Emily is a singer/songwriter/guitarist originally from St. Louis, performing locally and regionally in the midwest in a variety of venues. Raised in a family with strong musical influence eventually lead her down the path to songwriting. She began public performances in St. Louis and eventually began to take her music on the road. Emily produced her first solo CD "Singing River" with the assistance of her brother John Higgins of St. Louis' premier bluegrass band The Flying Mules. Singing River contains 15 of Emily's original songs and features guest appearances by St. Louis musicians including The Flying Mules (John Higgins, Marc Rennard, Charlie Pfeffer and Michael Prokopf), acoustic/electric harpist Terri Langerak, and others. Her second CD "The House at the End of the Road" has been released in summer of 2004 and is available by clicking on the link below titled "The House at the End of the Road."
Emily's musical accomplishments include being a former open-mic host, live radio performances, written soundtrack music for a children's educational video, and is a former member of the all-female bluegrass band The RedHouse WoodPickers.
