Description
This is a collection of some of my favorite Christmas songs I remembered from my Childhood. I can remember Christmas eve's long ago, decorating the tree and listening to Christmas songs by Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, Gene Aurty and many more. Being an only child during Christmas did have its advantages, the main one being loved by two loving parents. I remember one Christmas eve, I must have been around five or six, I walked into the living room around three o'clock in the morning and looked at the tree which was all decorated with a glowing star on top that made a rainbow of colors on the ceiling like Northern Lights. I remember it was so late and Santa was on his way. Our house didn't have a chimney and I thought, "How is Santa going to come in?", just as I had that thought, the front door knob started to turn. I quickly ran back into my room, threw the covers over my head and fell asleep. The next morning I awoke to presents under the tree and a fresh blanket of snow on the ground. Later in the day I went outside and saw tracks from a sleigh in the snow. Hmmmm.
There is always that feeling of togetherness when Christmastime comes. Christmas has a way of bringing people together and making everything all right, even for just one day. I hope you enjoy these songs. As I recorded them in my studio at home I was reminded of those memories from my childhood. It seems like so many years ago, but now as I see my wife and daughters face light up during Christmas, those memories come rushing back to me like a warm blanket on Christmas eve.
