Description
Indie-pop singer/songwriter, Erik Broms, along with the now defunct bay area band, Populuxe, created a presence in the San Francisco pop scene with frequent road trips to LA. Highlights include showcases in LA and a set at Virgin Records' Blur CD release party. The song "Jesus & Me" was featured by Rodney "On the ROQ" Bingenheimer of the 'World Famous' KROQ (106.7 FM Los Angeles) and subject of the documentary 'Mayor Of The Sunset Strip'. Darian Sahanaja of the Wondermints (Austin Powers sound track) and contibutor on Brian Wilson's 'Smile' lends his keyboard vibe on the song "Captain Courageous".
Bend Your Ear is a collection of melodic driven pop songs. A rotating cast of characters contribute their special flavors to an otherwise solo effort. Broms penned and performed the song "Don't Leave The Girl", featured on the highly-rated CBS drama "Cold Case", airing Sunday NOV. 7th at 8pm PST/EST.
The songs "Jesus and Me" and "Driver" are featured on the soundtrack to the newly released surf film, "The Union Blue Project". Broms teamed with Surf Cinematographer, Don King, who's amazing work is captured in such recent films as: "Blue Crush", "Castaway", "Die Another Day", "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle", and "City of Angels". The soundtrack includes: Jack Johnson, God Smack, Erik Broms, Agent 51, Buck Wild, Powderfinger, and Hot Hot Heat.
