Description
The 1st and 2nd tracks are instrumentals called "Ghost A" and "Ghost B."
The 3rd track, "Yellow Flowers of January," I seek to describe how I dealt with losing my mother. Every January, little yellow flowers would bloom and I always took little things like this for granted before I felt my first real loss. These little yellow flowers were the only symbol of comfort I had for a long time.
The 4th track, "Mama Don't Cry," was the first song I wrote and the first song I recorded for this project. It's about watching a loved one fade away over time and feeling relieved that all the pain and worry is over with.
The 5th & 6th tracks are "Let You Go Part A" and "Part B." This set of songs are about a dying loved one who is so miserable they alienate their family and friends before they pass away.
The 7th track is "My Under", about a dark 'sheet' that can cover the sun if you let it.
The 8th track "Test," is nothing more than a sound check at Shakesound Recording.
The 9th track, "Makeshift Philly", is an instrumental that I named after my mother' s urn.
The 10th and last track is "Home." This message is simple. When you really love someone anywhere they are is home.
Some people write in diaries; I write songs.
