Flow's songs and lyrics are provocative, real, raw and edgy. She is currently touring locally in Los Angeles clubs, and the buzz is that she has the most exciting show in town.
Flow is a recording artist, composer and producer. She plays all the instruments on her CD and programs all sounds. Some songs are layered with pads and strings, while others are sparse with a driving drum and bass line that completely sucks you in, "I do whatever the song calls for, to take the listener on a journey. I like to have hooks but I also never want to get bored." Flow says, "If I get tired of hearing my own tunes, I know the listener will too."
Flow has been dubbed the modernized female Prince. If Floetry and Peaches had a baby it would be Flow. Her music is hip-pop. Great hooks, and a great groove.
Flow's vocal style can be likened to a combination of Missy Elliot, Jill Scott and Meshell Ndegeochello. Her lyrics are based on relationships, sex, heartbreak and love. Flow is fearless and has the courage to talk about real issues and deep personal feelings and experiences. Flow shares the stage with Dawn Thomas, who's pipes will blow you away. Her voice can be likened to that of Pink and Janis Joplin. Flow and Dawn completely complement each other. Their chemistry is amazing, and you can't take your eyes off them when they perform.
The live show consists of a four piece band, guest artists, guest musicians, and dancers. Don't blink you may miss something. Flow will push the sexual envelope to the edge, leaving just enough room for the imagination to run wild.
"I love my music, and I am growing with each song I record," Flow says, "but, my highest moments are on stage, performing. When you see people react to what you're saying, it validates your existence on this planet. I would die without music."
