Description
Born Ricardo Galbis in Washington DC, Galbis is a classically trained visual artist who since 1998 has been experimenting with sound reproduction and manipulation. In 2000 he completed his first album which was an arrangement of audio loops together (titled "X") under the name DJ Illusion. In 2001 he began production on what is now 1843, a three-year work which has yielded tracks taking influences from drum 'n bass, trance, breakbeat, hip-hop, and rock. With the completion of 1843, Galbis is now working on other projects including producing songs for others and collaboration tracks.
