Description
JJ & The Foreign Cowboys is a refreshing and untamable band based in the heart of Manhattan. They make no excuses for their classic pop/rock roots or modern country influences.
Fronting the band is singer/songwriter Jennifer Johnsen whose commanding lead vocals exude passionate energy and emotion. Hailing from Massachusetts, JJ moved to New York for an advertising career, which quickly became disillusioning. She quit the corporate world to focus full-time on music and soon after, teamed up with keyboard player, Jorgen Kjaer.
Jorgen, a native of Denmark and an alum of its prestigious Royal Danish Conservatory, completes the songwriting duo; arriving in New York by way of Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he won numerous songwriting awards.
The group's first full-length CD, Be the Wild in Me, is receiving critical acclaim, and their first single, 'Hold On' is being embraced by stations across the United States and Europe.
