Gianni "Henry K" Lenoci, interpreter and composer of written and improvised music, played and recorded with Massimo Urbani, Steve Lacy, Bob Mover, Enrico Rava, Glenn Ferris, Han Bennink, Joelle Leandre etc.
He is also a performer of notaded music, with a focus on radical composers like Morton Feldman, John Cage, Sylvano Bussotti, Salvatore Sciarrino... but he covers a big range from english virginal music to Erik Satie.

The fate of many protagonists of the jazz history has been that of being glorified as virtuoso players of their own instrument, but of being left aside as composers.
Albert Ayler and Sun Ra were exposed to this fate until their beautiful works were discovered and proposed to a wider public. What about Steve Lacy? He has been considered for the past forty years as one of the world's soprano sax virtuosos, but until today, no musician had spent at least a year of research and dedication transcribing and recomposing his numerous compositions.
Does the composer Lacy really exist? Yes, he does.
The artist that has decided to face this arena and put Lacy's work together is an Italian musician, a pianist. The name of this modern gladiator is Gianni Lenoci.
