LYTHION is a jolt to the soul where sultry melodies and lush orchestrations combine with a highly theatrical performance style to take the listener on a musical joyride that is at once impassioned and intelligent, satirical and sexy. The duo behind the wheel, Ilyana Kadushin and James Harrell, fuse bluesy torch songs and post-modern confessional music with a dollop of funk and a touch of glam-rock thrown in for good measure. Kadushin's lead vocals are rich and raise the spirit and blend with the vibrations of Harrell's haunting arrangements. Kadushin brings her background in performance art into play and live, the pair share the stage with video projections that intertwine with the musical score.
