Description
Lead singer/songwriter, Sarah Lewis, was named Grand Prize Winner of the 2002 USA Songwriting Competition for her song "Mouth". Sarah and her band were also chosen as Top 10 Finalists by Dick Clark and CMJ magazine for the Coca-Cola New Music Award, and a Top 6 Finalist for the Indie Music World Series (by Billboard mag., Disc Makers, and TAXI). Jag Star (of Knox., TN) recently picked up a sponsorship from Budweiser, which landed them a spot in a VH-1 television ad and a feature in Vanity Fair magazine.
Jag Star's music is featured on MTV's, "The Real World" and Lifetime's "Strong Medicine". They've shared the stage with Michelle Branch, Macy Gray, and toured Afghanistan, Pakistan, Qatar, Bahrain, Hawaii, Singapore, Guam, etc... to play for the US troops.
