Description
JINNRAIL is an anomaly among the numerous bands of the rock 'n roll resurrection: In addition to raucous guitars, they possess substance and integrity. Rather than toss out another cloned guitar-rock recording, they took the time to hone their songwriting and build a style before releasing a CD to the public. The result is "I'm Fine", a stunning debut which is poised to win the praises of music fans and critics the world over.
Formed in 2000 in Queens, NY, Jinnrail spent their first year writing and playing shows before going through some major lineup changes. The chemistry finally felt right when founding members Reade Tilley and Jay Heyne hooked up with bassist Larry Cardinale. They soon began recording an EP with producer Marc Jordan who was so impressed that he later joined the group on drums. Somewhere along the way, the EP turned into an LP, postponing the release but giving the band time to further solidify the lineup and refine the music. The outcome is the instant classic "I'm Fine", an inspirational mix of old school rock and modern styles. Ranging from the ultra-slick groove and infectious hook of "Sex on Saturday" - a surefire radio and strip-club smash - to the dynamic melodies and angst of "Cemetery Garden" and "Dust on a Hymnal", "I'm Fine" is a return to sincere, unbreakable songwriting at its best.
