Description
Jules initially began performing in her early childhood years not as a musician, but as an actor. Trained as an actor on the East Coast and in London, her pursuit of acting eventually brought her to California. Although it was acting that prompted her move to Los Angeles, she found her true creative voice through her music.
In June of 2001, Jules performed at her very first open mic and at her second open mic, she was offered a gig. She had not even had enough time to write more than a couple songs before that second open mic. Jules spent the next days and weeks writing non-stop. Little did she know that this would signal the beginning of the rapid development of her musical talent. Having lived in cities such as Atlanta, New York City, London and Los Angeles, Jules has no shortage of unique life experiences to reflect upon in her lyrics. She has always been a writer at heart, having written her first poem at the age of six. Jules feels that lyrics come to her
rather easily and with a great truth spread beneath them.
Adding to her many years of vocal training and musical theatre productions, the rich roots of her voice have found their way to a variety of audiences. Her blending of folk, rock and blues always provides a captivating night of music. The raw emotional quality in her voice coupled with her poetic lyrics, grips audiences wherever she performs. Jules continues to play around the Los Angeles area where she has a diverse and dedicated core following, and is planning a West Coast tour this summer.
