Description
Susannah says, "With my first album, "Twinkle and Shine," I wanted to introduce young children to different styles of music by using something familiar to draw them in: a melody they have heard, lyrics they know, a dance they like to do, a subject they are interested in - to capture their attention and get them on their feet to move and sing. I also wanted the arrangements and performances to also be appealing to parents so families could enjoy the music together. It's our birthright as human beings to enjoy and participate in making music - we should sing, play instruments and dance. For those of us who are parents, these are the times we treasure. For our children, this is what they will remember... when we all danced around together being silly or dramatic, when we danced on the tops of daddy's feet or tangoed down the hall around the corner with mommy or the nights we got out all the instruments, tupperware and wooden spoons in the house and played along with the music. This is what I hoped for when I recorded these songs. May you find many such joyous moments.
