Juan Zarzuela, tambin conocido como "Zarzuelita de Jerez" en el mundo artstico, forma parte, en el grupo de cabeza, de la nueva generacin de jvenes intrpretes flamencos del siglo XXI. Juan Zarzuela, como el resto de sus coetneos son cantaores clsicos, "dicen" los cantes respetando cnones y ortodoxia, pero avanzan en las posibilidades musicales del flamenco en relacin a otras msicas y otras sonoridades. Esta es su aportacin al cante grande, el respeto y la vigencia de lo clsico y la mezcla y el enriquecimiento de lo nuevo.

Juan Zarzuela, also Known as "Zarzuelita de Jerez" in the flamenco World, is at the head of a new generation of young flamenco singers for the 21st century. Juan Zarzuela, like his young comptemporaries, is first of all a clasical flamenco singer. He sings the old songs respecting the centuries-old orthodoxy of flamenco traditions. But Juan also seeks to advance the musical possibilities of flamenco in relation to other kinds of music, other sounds. This is Juans contribution: his respect for the clasical "cante grande" of flamenco, but also his willingness to mix the traditional and enrich it with new sounds.
