Description
Aviette is a Minneapolis based, indie pop outfit. Formerly known as Maelee Whitman, Aviette co-produced their first full-length record, West of Pleasant with the Chicago-based audio production company, EIGHTYSEVENWEST (Sybris, Crush Kill Destroy, The Saps). The band spent one weekend in a basement recording basic tracks for the album and one day in Chicago's Clava Studio arranging final mixes. West of Pleasant follows Apt. 3E , a six-song ep released in May of 2003.
Performances at the Triple Rock Social Club, Fine Line, Turf Club and Wellstone World Music Day in Minneapolis, the Congress Theater, Hideout and Subterranean in Chicago, Luther's Blues in Madison, the Onopa Brewery in Milwaukee, the Kraftbrau and Trinity House Theater in Michigan and colleges and universities throughout the Midwest and Southwest U.S.
