"MONROY" es un disco de Flamenco, con mucho flamenco. Sergio utiliza el piano para caminar por el flamenco, haciendo constantes guios al Jazz. Sus composiciones son de una extrema sensibilidad. Sergio compone e interpreta para los sentidos, desdibuja las melodas para llevarlas al corazn. Sus ideas meldicas son como pequeas pinceladas de un cuadro impresionista, sus acordes son abiertos, libres de formas, su comps es luz y sus manos araas que corren vertiginosas, por las teclas. Sergio sintetiza en su instrumento, la guitarra, el cante, las palmas, y el baile flamenco, sin imitarlos, utiliza el piano como piano, con todos sus recursos meldicos, rtmicos y armnicos. A Sergio han querido acompaarlo en su primer trabajo excelentes msicos como Alfonso Gamaza o Bernardo Parrilla entre otros y figuras tan importantes como Javier Rubial o Miguel Poveda, que ven en este joven compositor una figura renovadora dentro de "Piano Flamenco".
"MONROY" is a disc of Flamenco with so much flamenco. Sergio uses the piano to dance flamenco, making constant nods to jazz. Their compositions are extremly sensitive. Sergio composes and interprets for the senses, weaves melodies to take them to the heart. The melodic themes are like the brushstrokes or an impresionist painting. The chords are opened, free, airy. Its compass is light and his hands spiders thar run vertiginous on the keys. Sergio synthesizes on his instrument,- the guitar, voices, caplind hands, and flamenco dancers- without imitating them. He uses the piano like piano, with all its meldic resources, rhythm and harmony. Accompanying Sergio on this first work are the excellent musicians Alfonso Gamaza and Bernardo Parrilla and the esteemed Javier Ruibal and Miguel Poveda, who see in this young composer an innovative figure with a style that we could call "Piano Flamenco".
