Description
Born in Ex-USSR and raised by the parents with high music pedigree,Arthur Mountaniol was involved in music since his early childhood playing trombone and trumpet in a jazz orchestra conducted by his father.

A graduate of The Moscow Music College,he started his professoinal music career as a guitarist in the Big Band of Ross-Concert.He was also a first guitarist and co-founder of The Moscow notorious avant-garde/new wave group "Nikolaus Copernikus".

An elected board member of The Moscow Association "Post Rock" founded by The Russian jazz-rock guru Alexei Kozlov,at The Union of Composers of Russia.

In 1984 Arthur Mountaniol formed his own band "The Moon Pierrot" that were the winners of The Moscow Rock Festival "Debut-88" and in 1991 released their LP on The Russian major label "Melodia".That release was an exceptional and rare music endeavor and the music of this band was compared to pictures of S.Dali and P.Picasso

In 1992 Mountaniol embarked on his solo career in Hamburg,Germany and in 1998 relocated to Los Angeles,CA releaseing his first "5 Song Debut" CD on J-Bird Records.

Arthur Mountaniol is a writer/publisher of The American Society of Composers(ASCAP) and a winner of ASCAPLU$ Award for 2004.

In 2000 Arthur recorded his new unique music experiment "Shamania" where he first dared to introduce his unusual vocal novelty - a throat singing - a sound similar to a didgeridoo or a chanting of Tibetan monks.He combined it with the trippy sonic explorations of his guitar,loops and samples of electronica and his special songwriting rooted in ancient Shamanic/Celtic music.
