Description
Latin folk and Jazz instrumentalist, Pedro Villagra rose to fame in his native Chile as founding member of Santiago del Nuevo Extremo. After years of extensive work based out Cologne, Germany, Pedro joined Chile's world music greats, Inti-Illimani, to make a glorious return to his homeland. On ethnic folk winds, tenor and soprano sax he toured the world many times over before launching his personal and most innovative project, Pedroband. With Chilean jazz virtuosos, he released his first CD "Pagano" in 1998 and the second, "Quiebracanto" in 2000 (Listed among the best albums of 2000 by Rolling Stone Magazine). His third release, "Otredad" is due out in early 2004
