BIO:
Growing up in a musical family, this multitalented singer/songwriter has been performing professionally from a very early age. Sartori was taught the guitar by his father at age twelve and went on to teach himself the piano, trumpet, and drums. Tom's music career has developed rapidly over the past few years; touring five countries, singing national anthems at professional sporting events, performing live on various television programs, and steadily performing in the club/college circuit across the country.
Tom Sartori has been heralded Buffalo, NY's Top Solo Artist for many years, packing clubs in that area 4-5 nights a week. He was truly honored at the 2002 Artvoice Music Awards when he received a first place tie with international recording star ANI DIFRANCO as Top Acoustic Performer of the Year. His recent CD release, "Live at Woodlawn," which he recorded completely live in Hamburg, New York with The Tom Sartori Band, has been getting national attention over the past couple of months and has kept him very busy touring, mainly on the west coast and south east regions of the country. Universal Records took notice and invited Tom down to NYC to perform his songs live in front of thier record company staff.
Sartori's original music would best be described as acoustic guitar driven pop. His style has been described as a blend between artists like John Mayer and Matchbox 20, with smooth, soulful vocals that are a bit rough around the edges.
Every March, Sartori returns to Key West, Florida for a month long stint during the spring break festivities, where he entertains college students from around the country. Some other performance highlights are Disney World, Mardi Gras, Japan, and at 4 NFL Superbowls, just to name a handful. He has performed with artists such as Meatloaf, 98 degrees, Chuck Berry, and Cheap Trick. He was also asked by the Buffalo Bills football organization to perform in front of 17,000 fans for the unveiling of the new Bills uniforms. He was more than happy to not only perform for his hometown Buffalo Bills, but also wrote a Drew Bledsoe/Bills parody for the event, which landed him mentions in USA Today and Sports Illustrated.
