Description
British-born Anthony James Baker crafted his musical skills at an early age, playing in local pubs and clubs in Kent, England and later moved to London to perform and record with members of TEARS FOR FEARS and BIG COUNTRY in the 1980's.
On the other side of the Atlantic, in a new decade, Anthony found himself in Los Angeles, California, where he studied with guitar greats NORMAN BROWN, SCOTT HENDERSON, and FRANK GAMBALE and also attended the Grove School of Music.
A few years later, Anthony moved to Denver, Colorado, where he worked his way into the local music scene performing with acts such as THE KEEPERS, BACKSTREET, NATALIE RENE, RON IVORY, and Colorado's favorite NINA STOREY.
Developing his fiery but passionate style of guitar playing and melodic songwriting ability, Anthony is now embarking on a solo career blending Jazz/Rock/Latin and Blues on his debut instrumental CD, simply titled, ANTHONY JAMES BAKER, where he is accompanied by some great local talent, including sax virtuoso NELSON RANGELL - Check it out!
