AFTER BLISS came together in the spring of 2003 when three childhood band-mates: singer John Dauer, guitarist Jim Bilus and drummer Jason Young reunited and brought in Nashville guitarist Jeff Wood and bassist Kevin Haley, a veteran of the LA and DC punk rock scenes. AFTER BLISS hit the ground running and is currently packing downtown NYC venues with a devoted group of fans that have discovered the bands captivating live performances. With their debut record "Without You" released in November this Brooklyn based rock band will soon be coming to a town near you.
Front man John Dauer is the possessor of a truly soulful and insightful voice. He has the ability to exude a
quiet intensity or turn up the heat and belt it out. Guitarist Jeff Wood draws on a hard rock background and
blends it with a classical style. Jim Bilus, guitarist and primary songwriter, layers the music with his effect-
driven lines. This combination of Jeff's powerful riffs and Jim's innate songwriting sensibility makes for the
group's intense sound. Bassist Kevin Haley hammers out hard driving bass lines with an in-your-face attitude.
Jason Young kicks the groove behind the drums; bringing his love for a wide variety of musical styles, he also
doubles as the band's in house producer.
