Description
Chasing Sunday is noted for the strength of their compositions and their exceptional live performances. The boys will play for over seven hours straight. (Talk about endurance and stamina!) They have all played in other serious projects in the past and have joined together to form a "Super Group" of sorts.
The band has gone through changes. Yet right from the get-go, Shauldeseen's Pocket, the band's debut cd, brought them commercial success in Europe and around the New York City area. They are a professional regional band of the Northeast, a mainstay in New York City and have toured Italy twice.
In 2003 Chasing Sunday released, realize, which featured the more popular material from their live shows: Nothing, Steal Away, Realized, Peregrination, etc. (The photos that grace the cd were taken on tour in Italy.) The sound of the second cd has been labeled "jaffopop" - a full mixing of jazz, folk and rock/pop - it is not what the band sounds like today. In fact, it is safe to say that this is a band in constant incredible evolution.
Despite the different feel of their first two albums, Chasing Sunday is a rock band. They have written over fifty songs and seem to keep getting better. The band is mature sounding and yet keeps maturing.
