BOB MARLEY at the age of 12 Alkatraz convinced his dad Benigno,a lead singer in a salsa band,to enroll him in guitar lessons.
A few years later the Rap game was growing strong and he soon was jamming to ICE-T/PUBLIC ENEMY/NWA/ICE CUBE/
RUN DMC AND THE BEASTIE BOYS.Due to the broad seleccion of music he listened to
It was clear to see the versatility developing in him.After completing his first beat with LEX,
FACE 111 created the lyrics and They soon ended up in KME Studio in QUEENS to finished his first song.
He then got coached on his rhyming delivery by SIN.
Alkatraz has collaborated with
Gemstar/Bigmato/SPKilla(producer for NORE)/Freddy/Artie/Lunchtime/Skiller/Wisdom/
Riel/Midas/Faiz and many other Underground talented producers in the New York area.
He learned how to use cubase,sound forge and fruity loops with Wisdom's help.He also taught himself how to use other programs.
