Description
David Delgado is a worship leader and songwriter from New Mexico. He is the worship leader for the 930 contemporary worship service at First Baptist Church Las Cruces. His music ministry also includes sharing concerts and special music at churches across denominational lines throughout New Mexico and the southwest United States.
David has written over one hundred songs, many of which are featured on his sites, www.freeworshipmusic.com and www.daviddelgado.com. Some of David's songs are currently being played throughout the United States and other parts of the world.
With the release of his first professional studio solo worship album "You Have Been Faithful," David hopes to 'kick it up a notch' in terms of quality and professionalism. 'The psalms say to 'play skillfully before the Lord, and that is what I intend to do." David says with his trademark laugh. "God has provided a wonderful opportunity for me to do what I love at the next level...God is the faithful one, .all I am trying to do is to be faithful to what He has given me to do, ..I just want to serve him and serve people by hopefully writing music that helps people connect with God "
Indeed God has opened some incredible doors for David to take his music to a whole other level.
"You have Been faithful" has been an album that God had to have put together, and enlisting the groove masters Rob and Lee Krabbe as producers of this album was only the beginning. With people like Lynn Keller on Bass guitar, Chad Clark on Drums as well as Burleigh Drummond on Percussion the rhythm section couldn't be any stronger. Rounded out with stunning lead guitar by Lee Krabbe with Rob Krabbe (The groove man himself) on acoustic as well as bgv by Lee Krabbe and Melissa Krabbe as well as a Gospel choir backdrop for the final track, this album is a straight listen all the way through. "I am definitely the weakest musician on this album," David says with a smile, "That is not to say that I don't like what I brought to the table, it is just a matter of fact. Someone said that the easiest way for you to be successful was to surround yourself with people better than You are...How true that is ...."
What David Delgado has in fact brought to the table are wonderful songs with deep lyrics that are accessible to listeners and worshipers with a worshipful voice and sound, unique to today's modern worship scene.
David and His wife Tania live in Las Cruces, NM and they have a 1 year old daughter named Hannah Joy. David also teaches band, bible and computers at Mesilla Valley Christian Schools in Las Cruces.
