Description
Remember the scene in the movie where someone's child is searching through boxes in the basement, and they happen onto an old 45 record? They then turn to their father and ask, "You were in a band, pop?" Well, what you are looking at is a compilation of songs written by members of an unknown band from the Detroit area (specifically Highland Park for those who know the area) called Aris Nova. Together, these cats formed a band in the early 80's. To put everything into perspective, at that time there were musicians aplenty, and a band in every block. Problem was, the technology and financial support were not readily available to get the music most folks created "out there" to the masses. Fast forward to 2005 where at least the technology has provided the opportunity to let you, potential fans, hear this compilation of "basement tapes" and 45's that they could only hear either live or within the limited distribution area for the local releases. The audio sources vary from cassette tapes to 45's edited for CD presentation. Enjoy!
