Description
The T.A.G. album is a collection of 14 songs (bonus track included) that showcase the diverse songwriting and production talents of singer/musician Art Stucco. From the pop rock bop opener "Driving This Dream", the mariachi flavors of "Old Mexico", the wide open country rock "Let's Just Face It" and the Crazy Horse grunge-alike "Something's Going On Here" (inspired by Neil Young's rocumentary "Year of the Horse"), to the beautifully melancholy "Somewhere Out There", Art displays a vision for each song different form the last. Culled from several recording mediums, the tracks were painstakingly mixed by Bruce Gigax and sonically aligned by Dave Collins (Springsteen;tom joad) at the old A&M Mastering Studios. Tracking commenced in late '93 with drummer John Palmer, bassist Bob Birch (Elton John) and Art Stucco on guitar & vocal. The rest was completed at various Los Angeles studios & mobile facilities in 1997 & '98. The T.A.G. disc was released on July 30, 1999 by F-5 Records. As of March 2003, it's still getting Triple-A radio spins from Valdez, AK to Bridgeport, CT. And track 3 "Something Other Than This" is a favorite at live shows. Check it out.
