Description
Academy Of Western Artists singer/songwriter Aspen Black is a former pro-rodeo and NBHA champion barrel racer, certified horseshoer, riding instructor, lady rancher, wife, and mother of two.
She has been compared to a modern-day "Patsy Montana", blending simple, old-style sounds with beautiful lyrics describing the heartaches and joys of today's cowboys and cowgirls.
Originally released in 2003, the songs on this CD have recieved many favorable reviews by western critics, fans, and well-known fellow performers. This 2005 version of her CD, A Hundred Years Too Late features updated recordings of 10 of Aspen's favorite original songs that have now become road-tested and often requested.
As always, her mission in writing and performing is to celebrate and preserve the western lifestyle, and to open new ears and eyes to western music and the true cowboy culture.
"I hope you like my songs- they come from the heart."
