Description
Born April 14, 1978 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Marcus 'Misure' George lived in Fayetteville all of his life and began singing at the age of five. Just like many R&B singers before him Misure drew his influences from local musicians and a strong church up bringing. Throughout his child-hood Misure continued to develop his entertainment skills by performing at church and many local talent shows in the eastern United States.
A brief stint with a local group of teenagers known as, "Legacy" left Misure with the dedication and motivation to take his talent to the next level. Misure disbanded from the group to set out to pursue his music career. As typically happens when embarking on a music career it doesn't quite pay the bills so Misure entered the U.S. Army. Uncle Sam stationed him over seas on an Army base located in Vicenza, Italy.
While in Italy Misure performed at different functions for the military and for local organizations in the community. One night while performing at a local caf in the Veneto Region Misure was discovered by Scott Scanlon and Corey Patterson of Crazy Loot Records. After a couple of sit-downs a deal emerged that would make Misure the first official act released on the upcoming labels roster.
Determined to make his presence felt Misure went into "The Lab" and came out with the debut maxi-single titled, "Love Chronicles". All of the songs were written and produced by Misure himself. Collaborations played a major part in the creation of this project in order to show diversity to the audience. In view of Misure's early success and desire to become a major male R&B artist in the music industry, his dedication to his craft has always been immeasurable.
Even with the success of Love Chronicles Misure still had a commitment to the military. Moving stations to Virginia he received the dream assignment, a full time Army vocalist. Performing at officer clubs, special ceremonies, and for various dignitaries Misure refined his musical and performance talents.
Currently, in the studio Misure is working on his debut album titled, "This is the Time" scheduled for release in early 2003.
