Description
Rick Moore's debut release is a mixture of Memphis rockin' blues, heart of the South roots music, and soulful writing.
Rick joined producer Jimmy Nalls (Nighthawks, Sea Level, Dr. John) in the studio in 1997 to put together a critically acclaimed CD that featured the writing talents of Moore, great production by Nalls and engineer Phil Dillon, and some of the greatest players in the world.
The list includes Jeff Davis (Amazing Rhythm Aces), William Howse (Gregg Allman Band), Reese Wynans (Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Wayne Jackson (Memphis Horns) and others. The CD was released in Europe on Music Net and in the USA on MRL. Billboard, Blues Revue, Living Blues and many other dominant industry publications praised the CD, comparing it to J.J. Cale and Delbert McClinton. All but two songs were written or co-written by Rick Moore. All-star slide work was provided by Nalls. The mixture resulted in swampy soulful music that travels from Memphis to Muscle Shoals to Macon. A must for lovers of the real thing.
