Description

SMADAR was born to a moroccan spanish parents,she moved to new york in the early 90's and studied theatre in manhattan.
Her way to music started at home listening to egyptian and tunisian music,and performing at any given time in her school years.
In 2000 she met Mr.rashid halial,a violinist from morocco and together they formed a trio and started performing around nyc.
During her performences she met producer ZEB,who hired her to sing on his record "the spy from cairo".
In 2003 Smadar began working on her record with mr.Shai Bachar,who work with such artists like Ishtar,dudu fisher and greg wall.
The CD is a blend of original and traditional matirial,combining hebrew,arabic,spanish and ladino.
In the CD you can hear an influence of the classical arabic music,enchanting vocals and a hunting violin playing.
Ms.Levi combines a beautiful acustic mixed with a rythmic sounds,creating a diverse of traditional and modern sounds.
