Description

The sweet sounds of the hammered dulcimer lead this very diverse and lengthy instrumental album of 34 traditional Christmas Carols, with some arranged in medleys to make 28 tracks. Most of the tunes are well known and are favorites in the holiday season. There are some lesser known tunes, chosen for their melodic appeal, included to make an enjoyable listening CD.

Joe Jewell has been performing on the dulcimer for over 20 years and his recordings have a loyal following. The hammered dulcimer is backed up by; guitar, violin, viola, auto harp, bass violin, and keyboards for a constantly changing texture and tempo. Running time is in excess of 75 minutes.
