Description
The Tone Generators, from Mt. Prospect, IL perform some of the hottest blues rock in the Chicagoland area.
These veterans enjoy playing classic blues, and Southern Rock Blues, plus adding a little jazz in their original songs.
In the early 90's they were know as The Orbit Ponies, playing area dance clubs, large festivals, including the 1995 Taste of Chicago.
The Tone Generators are: Stuart Swanlund - Guitars and Vocals Pat Hamann - Keyboards Gary Boldt - Bass Guitar Mike McNicholas - Drums Heading up The Tone Generators, Stuart Swanlund has put together some of the areas top musicians.
Strong soulful vocals, sizzlin' slide guitar and a solid rhythm section exemplify their roots in the blues masters.
Stuart started playing guitar around 1970 and began touring with bands around the Southeast in 1974.
He also writes original music on which some of his songs were on the 1990 release of The Marshall Tucker Band album entitled Southern Spirit.
Stuart has been an essential member of The Marshall Tucker Band since 1985.
With The Tone Generators, Stuart has found the perfect opportunity for his early influences in blues and southern rock, to showcase his writing and true musical talent.
