Editorial Reviews
Dr. Aubrey Tucker-producer and professor at Houston Community College.
These are songs of love and loss, of closeness and loneliness, of humor and pathos, of hope and despair. His is a quiet voice, poignant yet passionate, vulnerable yet strong.
Album Description
Beautiful and haunting solo piano melodies that combine the stylistic elements of New Age, Jazz, Pop and Classical music. Quiet yet passionate. Simple, yet sophisticated. A welcomed encounter for the soul.
About the Artist
Tracy Berg was born to German immigrants in Glendale, California. His formative years were also spent in Rochester, Michigan and Houston, Texas. His early music studies focused on classical piano and compostion. He earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Houston, studying composition with David White and piano from Bill Chaisson. In one of those wild and wonderful, totally irrational life shifts after college graduation, Tracy became an airline flight attendant, spending the next eight years flying out of New York and Chicago. While living in New York, he began jazz studies at the New School, beginning a new musical evolution in his life. He married a fellow flight attendant and became a father to Jillian, the love of his life. The marriage ran into ...a slight chance of rain... Returning to Houston and to his destiny as a pianist and composer, Tracy studied at Houston Community College with jazz piano artists Joe LoCascio and Bob Henschen, Improvisation with Dennis Dotson, and compostion with Aubrey Tucker.
