Description
Going against the grain of modern day music production, 7 & Counting refreshes audiences with authentic music driven by a 12-stringed Taylor acoustic, a 5-string Schechter Bass, and a Fender American Tele. Their melodies, lyrics, and song are all original, yet they are able to capture the "feel" reminiscent of an ealier day.
As torch bearers, 7 & Counting believe in the importance of carrying on the traditions of those who have come before, yet they are continually striving for the next breakthrough. Bola, the ninth track on the album "United in Rivalry," is an example of one of those breakthroughs. Using slide guitars and trumpets, 7 & Counting present a very happy and melodious triumph... And then, as if the world caves in, a slide solo speaks of pain and suffering; it takes everyone on an emotional rollercoaster. And then comes the climax, and a return to the theme of triumph.
All this is in one song. Imagine what the whole album is like!
