Description
Sam was an ordinary high school kid who never quite fit in. One day, while trying to keep up with hallway traffic during passing periods, a bully pushed Sam, knocking him to the floor. A roar of laughter spread through the building as usual. This happened to him just about every day. He hated school and wished people would just leave him alone. But today, as he was getting up, something really weird happened. The mixed sounds of students' laughter and scurrying footsteps slowly transformed into the sounds of robotic voices and loud, rhythmic, clanking metal. Sam looked up and shockingly noticed that every single student in that hallway was suddenly marching in perfect unison, as if to a constant beat. Their arms swung in harmony and everybody's face was completely expressionless. At the end of the hallway, he saw a bright light suddenly appear, leading up the staircase. He felt something become extremely warm in his pocket and pulled out a shiny gold key. He decided to walk through the endless marching robots towards the light with this key. Sam went up the staircase. His body became a silhouette slowly blending into the brightness until he disappeared completely, never to be seen or head from again.
Why did Sam's high school suddenly transform into a parallel universe of robots? Where did this shiny gold key come from? And even more baffling, where had Sam disappeared to? No one knew the answers to these questions nor did anyone really care enough about Sam to try and find out, either. All anyone knows is that Sam left a trail of ashes leading to the staircase the day he disappeared. Those ashes are now burned into this EP.
