Description
In the fall of 1999, longtime friends Sean Goertz and David Harris decided to take their acoustic duo to a new level by adding on a full band. They began writing music and rehearsing with high school buddies Chris Pantuso on Drums and Noom Srisunakorn on Bass. They began writing till the early hours of the morning, basically transposing the mood of the hour into the music itself. Shortly after their first couple of live performances, the band decided to add a fifth member, Carlos Santiago as lead guitarist, thus completing the band's lineup.
In summer of 2001, the band began work on their debut studio effort, a 10 song album featuring the music written during the band's first year and a half together. The project was recorded in Wheelock, TX and then moved to San Antonio's Studio M, where they worked with producer Marius Perron III. The project, entitled "Awakening Hour" was released in December of 2003, followed by 9 months of live support and shows all over Texas.
Inspired by positive feedback and a rapidly growing fan base, the band has been hard at work writing songs for an upcoming 5 song EP. Upon completion of the writing process, the band will begin recording at their brand new studio. The trip has just begun for Saving Dawn.
Saving Dawn is...
